Vita

In 2017 Matthias completed his studies of vocational and general education with the subjects Design Technology and Economics/Politics at Münster University and Münster University of Applied Sciences with a master’s thesis on "Refugees in the context of Institutional Education". Before, he had achieved a bachelor's degree in Media Production at Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences. Matthias gained practical experience in projects and initiatives, among them the student initiative "grenzfrei" with a topical focus on migration and refuge. As a media educator he supported young people within the programme "Think Big" of the German Children and Youth Foundation to develop their own charitable projects and to present them audio-visually. Furthermore, he had the opportunity to experience transformative education in the project team "Neue Oberstufe" at a private protestant school (Evangelische Schule Berlin Zentrum).
